The Principal Systems Engineer will be responsible for the following: Support control system integration across engine subsystems including FADEC (Full Authority Digital Engine Control), sensors, actuators, fuel systems, and electro-mechanical components Develop, manage, and decompose system and subsystem requirements in accordance with ARP4754 guidelines Own requirements lifecycle activities including authoring, allocation, traceability, validation, and verification Support hardware selection, trade studies, and integration of sensors, effectors, and control system components Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using Cameo Systems Modeler Translate control system requirements into Model-Based Design (MBD) implementations in MATLAB Simulink for software development Develop and validate Simulink models for actuation systems (starter-generators, fuel systems, pneumatic systems). As a member of a dynamic engineering organization, this position offers the candidate an excellent opportunity to apply multidisciplinary engineering and leadership skills in the development and support of complex engine control and diagnostic systems and software.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
  • 8 years of engineering experience, or an Advanced Degree and 5 years’ experience

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with gas turbine engine operation, control, and system integration
  • Experience in engine control system design and validation
  • Familiarity with MBSE tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler
  • Proficient in system/software design tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler and MATLAB Simulink
  • Experience in engine control input/output electrical interfaces
  • Experience in fuel and actuation architecture studies and system design

Responsibilities
