About The Position

An expert Business Analyst with deep knowledge of the payments industry, specifically ACH payments and NACHA standards, and a strong understanding of bank-specific business processes and customer-facing skills. This role involves extensive customer interaction and is a leading consulting role in software delivery and implementation processes from design through deployment to the customer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • A senior ACH domain expert with hands‑on experience in the NACHA market, capable of engaging with bank stakeholders up to C‑level
  • Demonstrated success as a lead business analyst leading and implementing ACH projects in a global, cross-functional team environment
  • Deep practical expertise in ACH processing, NACHA rules, terminology, and operating models.
  • Proven experience leading or supporting ACH implementations on GPP and/or leading ACH platforms in the US market

Nice To Haves

  • Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) certification highly preferred
  • Business analyst certification is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Expert knowledge of NACHA standards and ACH payments
  • Act as a hands-on strategic leader, providing governance and expert oversight for the end-to-end GPP ACH solution
  • Provide subject matter expertise and best practice guidelines on how to best utilize and implement ACH for Tier 0-2 banks
  • Provide coaching and direction to the delivery teams on ACH implementation, to ensure the delivery of a best-in-class solution
  • Determine where the customer requirement fits within the standard industry practice and align them to Finastra’s GPP product
  • Write detailed business requirements (user stories) and functional solutions
  • Participate in customer requirements analysis workshops to provide ACH expertise
  • Knowledge transfer to customer and internal stakeholders
  • Focal point for internal teams on ACH flows, usage and industry best practices
  • Provide accurate and consistent status reporting to stakeholders at different levels
  • Negotiate with and influence key stakeholders internally and externally within their area of expertise
  • Act as a coach and subject matter expert on NACHA-related topics for the team
  • Develop material for knowledge transfer and training purposes.
  • Regarded as the ACH expert in the broader team
  • Anticipates NACHA business and industry issues as a basis for recommending large scale product, process or service improvement
  • Provides authoritative advice in area of specialty – helps structure management decision making in areas of important business impact
