About The Position

St. Roch Catholic school is seeking a faith-filled, student-centered, dynamic instructional leader to serve as principal for its PS–8 community. Located on the south side of Indianapolis the school educates a diverse community of approximately 278 students, whose gifts and talents are all celebrated. Throughout its history, St. Roch Catholic School has maintained strong ties with the local community. The school actively encourages parents and community members to be involved in the parish life, service, and outreach. Throughout the year, students participate in numerous service projects and outreach programs for the poor in our city. The school provides a faith-filled environment where students are encouraged to explore their potential, develop their gifts and talents, and become responsible members of society. Today, St. Roch Catholic School stands as a symbol of academic excellence, spiritual growth, and community service. Requirements

• Be a practicing Catholic in good standing (as verified by pastoral leadership of an (arch)diocesan parish) and possess a valid school administrator's license.
• Be dedicated to the development and preservation of Catholic identity within our school.
• Possess exceptional leadership, communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
• Exhibit a passion for student achievement, academic excellence, and an inclusive multicultural community.
• Be skilled at hiring, training, and retaining teachers and staff, with a passion for building and developing a culture of spirituality, shared goals, enthusiasm, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Primary school ministry representation to parents, pastoral leadership, St. Roch parish, and the St. Roch neighborhood and surrounding neighborhoods.
• Lead the implementation and improvement of rigorous curriculum and instruction, using assessment data (including state and local benchmark assessments) to set goals, monitor progress, and close achievement gaps in literacy and math.
• Supervise, coach, and evaluate faculty and staff, with particular attention to recruiting, developing, and retaining mission-aligned educators who embrace data-informed instruction.
• Provide leadership and collaboration with marketing and enrollment efforts, including welcoming new families and strengthening alumni relationships.
• Collaborate with the pastor and parish leadership on strategic planning and budgeting, including outreach to alumni and donors.
• Continue and expand upon the relationship with Roncalli High School as the parish high school.
• Maintain compliance with Archdiocesan, state, and accreditation requirements, including implementation of relevant state standards and NSBECS requirements.
