About The Position

This position is for the 2026-2027 school year. The Principal will serve as a visionary leader, promoting student success through educational leadership, efficient organizational management, professional standards of conduct, and effective communication with all stakeholders. The role involves shaping educational programs, managing resources, and fostering a positive and productive school environment.

Requirements

  • Valid State Teacher Certificate (Preferred)
  • Appropriate Administrative Certificate

Responsibilities

  • Communicates effectively the vision and mission of the school/district to staff, parents, students, and community members.
  • Develops comprehensive improvement plans with clear objectives and strategies.
  • Uses assessment data and demographic data to inform vision and goals.
  • Identifies and addresses barriers to student learning.
  • Seeks and obtains resources to support school/district mission and goals.
  • Monitors, evaluates, and revises vision, mission, and consolidated plans.
  • Promotes professional development focused on student learning.
  • Encourages and models lifelong learning and high expectations.
  • Promotes the use of technology in teaching and learning.
  • Designs, implements, evaluates, and refines curricular, co-curricular, and extra-curricular programs.
  • Assesses student learning using a variety of techniques.
  • Employs a variety of supervisory and evaluation models.
  • Monitors pupil personnel programs to ensure student and family needs are met.
  • Participates in professional organizations and activities.
  • Shares educational materials, information, and ideas with colleagues.
  • Designs and manages operational procedures to maximize opportunities for successful learning.
  • Manages contractual agreements.
  • Monitors the school/district plant, equipment, and support systems for safe and efficient operation.
  • Manages time effectively to achieve organizational goals.
  • Confronts and resolves problems in a timely manner.
  • Aligns financial, human, and material resources to school/district goals.
  • Manages fiscal resources responsibly, efficiently, and effectively.
  • Creates and maintains a safe, clean, and aesthetically pleasing school environment.
  • Maintains confidentiality and privacy of school records.
  • Prioritizes high visibility, active involvement, and communication with the larger community.
  • Establishes partnerships with area businesses, institutions of higher education, and community groups.
  • Integrates youth family services with school/district programs.
