Job Summary We are looking for a Principal Vulnerability Management Engineer to join the Cortex DevSecOps group and bolster our vulnerability management practices. This role focuses on securing our immense cloud and on-prem deployments by managing vulnerabilities across all infrastructure and applications, and overseeing security improvements to current processes.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in DevSecOps, Vulnerability Management, or Product Security Engineering.
  • Experience establishing vulnerability management processes to make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience in triaging vulnerabilities and providing security remediation recommendations.
  • Experience helping engineering teams focus on high-value security issues and avoid toil on non-security issues.
  • Experience working with corporate compliance functions.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work and coordinate between multiple teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with FedRAMP processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for product and system vulnerability management.
  • Participate in meetings with stakeholders to provide balanced insights on security implications.
  • Act as a bridge between security, development, and operations teams to integrate security best practices into the development lifecycle.
  • Work in full coordination with multiple product engineering and DevOps teams to produce highly secure features.
  • Handle, prioritize, and effectively bring security vulnerabilities to resolution for multiple products.
