Principal User Experience Researcher

Fidelity•Westlake, TX

About The Position

As a member of Fidelity’s User Experience Research Team, the Principal UX Researcher helps the company understand people and their needs. Research informs and inspires business and design leaders to improve current offerings and develop new products that help people achieve financial goals. The role plans and conducts qualitative and quantitative customer research, identifies problems from the user’s point of view, develops insights and opportunity areas, and tests new ideas for product-market fit. The researcher immerses themselves in a product area and drives projects to completion with little oversight, using experience and judgment to influence user outcomes and business strategy. The role is part of an established UX Research community within Fidelity’s enterprise UX function, which identifies unmet user needs and guides the development of useful and usable digital products. UX Research leadership provides coaching and career development, while a Research Ops team manages recruitment, procurement, and project tracking. Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout; onsite expectations vary by region and role and may evolve. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
