Join Raytheon’s Effector Analog & Power (EAP) Team, where you will play a critical role in verifying power and analog-oriented products that support our mission to create a safer, more secure world. As a Principal Test Engineer, you will contribute to the development and integration of cutting-edge technologies, working on products that operate in lower power and voltage ranges.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 8 years of experience, or a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Experience in electronics testing, including integration and verification of power and/or analog-oriented products.
  • Experience with circuit card assembly processes and related industry specifications.
  • Experience with hardware testing methodologies and/or root-cause corrective action investigations.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience in the design, test, and sell-off of military systems.
  • Knowledge of printed circuit board fabrication and assembly processes.
  • Familiarity with missile communication transceivers, IR or RF sensors, inertial measurement units (IMU), and GPS receiver subsystems.
  • Experience managing cost and schedule using earned value management methodologies.
  • Technical writing and formal presentation experience.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting testing and verification of power, analog, and digital oriented electronics products.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the development, integration, and sustainment of power systems, servo electronics, and mixed-signal electronics.
  • Designing and implementing test plans and procedures to ensure product functionality and reliability.
  • Leading root-cause investigations and corrective actions for test anomalies.
  • Supporting the transition of products from development to production, ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
  • Partnering with program teams to meet cost, schedule, and technical requirements.
