About The Position

BAE Systems is searching for a Principal Test Engineer with experience in developing automated test software solutions. The ideal candidate must be a motivated self-starter, able to complete assignments with little oversight while being available as a subject matter expert and technical lead to their team. They must be able to assume a full or partial lead role as circumstances dictate, and be able to quickly and dynamically switch focus to accommodate the daily activities of an engineering team supporting a production environment. This individual should be comfortable providing accurate technical status to program management or direction to individual contributors as part of their job function, as well as interfacing with other engineering disciplines as necessary. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 4+ years of professional test development and integration experience.
  • Hardware and Software Integration experience.
  • Proficiency in Object-oriented programming (C/C++/C# etc.)
  • Eligible to obtain a Secret Clearance

  • Experience with RF Measurement techniques and ability to diagnose and resolve to root cause measurement anomalies.
  • Takes initiative and has a closure-oriented nature
  • Experience with SW version control and bug tracking tools
  • Experience with National Instruments FlexRIO (LabVIEW FPGA/VHDL/Verilog a plus)
  • JTAG/Boundary project development in an ATE solution
  • Atlassian tools (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence)
  • Git and Tortoise Git
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Experience in leading engineers on multiple projects/tasks
  • Possess good communication skills including interpersonal communication and team communication
