Principal Test Development Engineer
About The Position
Qorvo is seeking an RF Test Software Development Engineer to join their High Performance Analog (HPA) team. This role will provide support to the Test Engineering Group to continuously improve test measurement capabilities and capacity. The position is based in Richardson, TX. The incumbent will design and integrate test solutions for RF characterization from DC to mmW frequencies, support test station setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance, and assist with product characterization during the development phase, including defining characterization plans. They will also contribute to the test engineering roadmap, expand the existing test automation framework and test coverage, implement and contribute to SQA, and lead/participate in cross-functional teams for engineering test development projects. Additionally, the role involves implementing methodologies for earlier testing in the software development process, creating test software documentation, procedures, and reports, supporting design validation testing of various RF product lines, and contributing to SQL database development.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in RF testing required
- Highly knowledgeable with RF test hardware
- Proficient with API development for test automation
- Proficient in automated test including design, development, and maintenance
- Highly knowledgeable with Python, C++, C# programming languages
- In depth knowledge of object-oriented programming
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills
- Operate independently with minimal supervision
- BS degree (or greater) in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
Nice To Haves
- Load Pull measurement knowledges is a plus
- Excellent communication, meeting facilitation and presentation skills
- Capable of obtaining US Secret clearance
- Position requires limited travel
