About The Position

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems has a Test Engineer / Principal Test Conductor to specialize in hardware/software integration and lab operations to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (STT) organization. This role is located in Roy, UT. In this role you will be supporting Lab Operations. Duties will consist of assisting with laboratory design, test planning and preparation, scheduling of test events, and assisting in the execution of integration checkout procedures. In this role you will ensure test stations and assets are configured and ready to test by deploying software and configuring hardware on test stations. In addition, you will work closely with MA to maintain and validate test station software and hardware configuration. Participation in test readiness reviews, acceptance testing and integration events will also be required. The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels.

Requirements

  • 5 Years of relevant experience with Bachelors in STEM Bachelor’s Degree; 2 Years with Masters
  • Must have an active U.S. Government Secret Clearance or higher clearance, with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation.
  • 2+ years experience in data recording tools such as JIRA.
  • 2+ years experience in Lab testing environment.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver up to 20 lbs.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in STEM or equivalent
  • Experience with formal software life cycle development methodologies
  • Experience with test equipment use and system troubleshooting
  • Experience with ICBMs (MM, PK, Small Missile) or DOD programs
  • Experience coordinating and leading integrated testing activities with multiple test teams
  • Active DoD Top Secret current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP).
