About The Position

The Principal Architect designs end-to-end technology solutions that align with business needs and enterprise standards. The role provides technical leadership, develops architecture designs, guides engineering teams, and ensures solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, and cost-effective. The architect bridges business requirements with technical implementation and supports successful project delivery. The position covers solution architecture across applications, integrations, data, and cloud, including high- and low-level designs, architecture patterns, standards, and best practices. It also includes technical guidance and design reviews; application and integration design; cloud and DevOps collaboration; security and governance; and working with business analysts, product owners, and engineering teams to translate requirements into technical solutions. Applicants must be located in the posted location or its immediate surrounding areas. The posting is not available to applicants residing in New York City or California.

Requirements

Expertise in solution architecture, cloud-native architecture (Azure/AWS), microservices, APIs, database design, DevOps, containerization, security, and scalable enterprise systems.
Proven ability to design and deliver secure, resilient, and high-performing technology solutions.
Strong technical leadership, including the ability to influence architecture decisions and guide engineering teams.
Effective communication skills to translate complex technical concepts for business stakeholders, product teams, and engineering audiences.
Skills in stakeholder management, decision-making, problem-solving, collaboration, and mentoring.
Experience designing enterprise-scale applications and applying modern architecture patterns across cloud and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

Design application, integration, data, and cloud architectures.
Create high-level and low-level solution designs.
Define architecture patterns, standards, and best practices.
Ensure solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements.
Provide technical guidance to development teams and Shared Services.
Review design documents, code, and architectural decisions.
Resolve complex technical issues and design challenges.
Drive technical excellence across projects.
Design APIs, microservices, and system integrations.
Define application communication patterns and data flows.
Ensure systems are scalable, reliable, and performant.
Lead modernization and cloud migration initiatives.
Design cloud-native solutions using Azure or AWS.
Collaborate with DevOps teams to establish CI/CD pipelines.
Promote automation, monitoring, and observability practices.
Support Infrastructure-as-Code and containerization initiatives.
Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
Conduct architecture reviews and risk assessments.
Define security controls and design guidelines.
Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
Work with business analysts, product owners, and engineering teams.
Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Present architecture recommendations to stakeholders.
Support project estimation and technical planning.
