About The Position

GFT is seeking a Principal Technician, CADD to fill a position within our Transportation group in Toronto. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at our Toronto office. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the technical effort for large or complex projects, independently performing technical assistance & drafting for tasks for a wide variety of assignments, providing direction for management of specific design tasks, including Level-1 reviews, and preparing reports & letters.

Requirements

• Diploma in Engineering Technology, or equivalent.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in structural CAD design.

Responsibilities

• Leads technical effort for large or complex projects.
• Independently performs technical assistance & drafting for tasks for a wide variety of assignments.
• Provides direction for management of specific design tasks, including Level-1 reviews.
• Prepares reports & letters.
