Requirements

  • Technical sourcing and procurement expertise for emerging technology categories (e.g., cloud, AI/ML, Internet of Things, and automation).
  • Contract negotiation and supplier agreement management (including commercial terms, service levels, and deliverables).
  • Supplier performance management, including governance rhythms, scorecards/metrics, and remediation planning.
  • Cost analysis and total cost of ownership (TCO) modeling to support sourcing recommendations.
  • Risk management across technology sourcing (e.g., third-party risk considerations, compliance alignment, and continuity planning).
  • Working knowledge of security controls and how they are incorporated into supplier onboarding and contractual obligations.
  • 2+ years of related experience.
  • Experience leading significant sourcing initiatives with strategic autonomy and measurable business impact.
  • Experience influencing executive decisions through data-driven recommendations and cross-functional alignment.
  • Experience mentoring or guiding less experienced staff through complex sourcing work.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired and potentially an advanced degree.
  • Certification is required in some areas.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for emerging technologies (cloud, AI/ML, Internet of Things, and automation) that align to business and technical roadmaps.
  • Lead supplier selection activities, including market research, competitive comparisons, and stakeholder alignment to support technology adoption.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage supplier agreements to deliver favorable commercial terms, clear deliverables, and measurable outcomes.
  • Own ongoing supplier management—performance reviews, issue resolution, and adherence to security controls and contractual obligations.
  • Partner with business unit and cross-functional teams to provide cost analysis, risk assessments, and recommendations that inform executive decisions.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and proactively manage sourcing risks to support compliance and continuity.
