This senior-level program management position leads engineering development and implementation of products across a Global Business Unit. The role drives multi-functional, complex programs with significant technical impact, overseeing strategy, budgets, resources, and cross-company communications. The ideal candidate is a recognized technical authority who combines deep engineering knowledge with proven program management expertise to improve time-to-market, reduce costs, and address customer needs. This individual provides technical leadership, mentors staff, and fosters innovation across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Computer Sciences, or equivalent.
  • Typically, 8+ years of experience in program or project management within engineering or manufacturing environments.
  • PMP/PMI certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing all aspects of cross-business unit programs, including directing matrixed teams and resources.
  • Proven history of innovation with examples of developing new technical, engineering, and/or manufacturing processes.
  • Experience designing and developing project and program planning tools and software packages to create, manage, and track project results.
  • Successful track record working with external parties such as standards bodies, partners, and development organizations.
  • Ability to manage complex, longer-term programs with multiple projects and cross-functional requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and understanding of organizational strategy.
  • Ability to effectively communicate program management architectures, plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at business unit levels.
  • Experience with cross-functional collaboration, mentorship, and knowledge sharing across organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead key programs involving multiple functions and program teams to drive engineering development and implementation for multiple products or service offerings across a Global Business Unit.
  • Direct the development of overall program strategy, budgets, resource allocation plans, and general program requirements.
  • Manage activities of supporting program teams and internal and external development partners, ensuring alignment with unit strategy and owning responsibility for overall program profit and loss.
  • Communicate program progress, escalations, and issue analysis to product stakeholders; collaborate with business unit management and partners to recommend and implement changes that drive continuous improvement and manage program costs.
  • Drive innovation and integration of new technologies and quality initiatives into projects and activities within the engineering organization.
  • Review and evaluate program plans for compliance with program management guidelines and standards, providing tangible feedback to improve overall program quality and results.
  • Lead, guide, and mentor less experienced staff members, setting an example of program management innovation and excellence.
