Requirements

• B.S. and 5 + years related experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of engineering disciplines and solid knowledge of related disciplines, Systems, Electro/Mechanical, Fluid Mechanics, Materials Science, etc.
• Cross-functional team experience, including technical and non-technical work.
• Success in delivering results on technical challenges including strong investigative and problem solving skills

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams in the driving successful closure of challenging development projects to final design, as well as resolving difficult problems in a collaborative environment.
• Provide technical leadership that is effective and efficient.
• Plans, executes and functionally directs important engineering assignments, which require independent judgment.
• Technical team leader for a sustaining product with high to moderate complexity.
• Recognize strategy, evaluates risks, recommends actions and develops contingencies to address various scenarios.
• Able to analyze risk/tradeoffs and make recommendations of appropriate path forward.
• Ensure the integration of deliverables from subsystem teams, cross functional teams (risk management, compliance, etc.) and external partners.
• Resolve competing constraints between interrelated functions (Engineering, Risk Management, Compliance, Reliability, Clinical, Human Factors, Regulatory), ensure compliance to the product development process and Quality System requirements.
• Implement configuration and change management through the complete product life-cycle.
• Coordinate internal as well as contractor and 3rd party service providers.
• Prepare and present written and oral reports to internal and external audiences as required.
