About The Position

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Fulgurite Principal Systems Engineer for Modeling, Simulation and Analysis (MS&A). This position is located in Roy, Utah. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. The selected candidate will be working for the Strategic Deterrent Systems Flight Systems Futures organization. We focus on Hypersonic re-entry and advanced payloads. This specific role will be focused on trajectory analysis and generation for our hypersonic systems to support test, development, and analysis.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline with a minimum 5 years of related experience; 3 years with a Master’s; or 1 years with a PhD.
Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
Experience with modeling, simulation, and analysis experience of Aerospace Vehicles; to include hypersonic platforms.
Experience with generation of 6-DoF trajectories for hypersonic platforms.
Experience with trajectory analysis for boost phase ascent.
Demonstrated history of analysis and visualization of data.
Programming experience with one of the following: C++, MATLAB, python, Fortran.
Experience using Git for version control.
Excellent technical writing skills.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

Active U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope.
Proficiency with C++, MATLAB, and python.
Experience using TAOS to model trajectories.
Experience using AFSIM for mission level simulations.
Experience using STK for red/blue modelling.
