About The Position

Raytheon is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to support Naval Radar programs as part of its Systems Engineering & Test Capabilities team. The role involves solving system challenges across hardware, software, networking, or combinations of these areas through troubleshooting, data analysis, and collaboration across disciplines. The position is onsite at the RTX facility in Woburn/Tewksbury, Massachusetts, and may require travel of up to 50% to RTX facilities, test sites, vendor facilities, and customer locations to support mission execution. The engineer will lead cross-functional efforts to improve performance and resolve system issues, and will be responsible for schedule execution of assigned program elements. Work includes developing and implementing test plans, procedures, integration and verification documentation; integrating hardware and software into tactical systems; using modeling and simulation to predict performance and support verification and validation; analyzing radar performance data; and developing and tracking requirements across complex system architectures. The role also requires communicating analysis and results to leadership, customers, and other stakeholders. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and meet the stated security-clearance requirements. Relocation assistance is available. The posted salary range is $118,300–$224,900, with benefits and possible incentive compensation dependent on the position, business unit, and other factors.
