About The Position

Capstone Research Corporation is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) in Dahlgren, Virginia. This high-visibility position supports critical aspects of MDA programs and offers significant opportunity for growth. The engineer will provide systems engineering support, coordinate engineering services with team members and government and industry partners, and serve as a primary customer interface. Salary will depend on education and experience, among other factors.

Requirements

• BS in Engineering; an MS is preferred.
• 20+ years of technical and project management experience.
• Knowledge of Integrated Air and Missile Defense systems capabilities and functionality.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and execute complex system-of-systems integration efforts from initial concept definition through integration and test, incorporating complex threat scenarios.
• Experience running complex system-of-systems programs or projects across their lifecycle, from concept definition through fielding and sustainment.
• Experience with and in-depth knowledge of DoD operations, concepts, and technologies.
• Good problem-solving skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel 6–12 trips per year with multiple destinations.
• Top Secret security clearance.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Support high-visibility critical aspects of MDA programs.
• Serve as the primary interface with the customer.
• Develop and execute system architecture and design, systems documentation, systems requirements, and systems verification.
• Provide direct systems engineering support and coordinate engineering services with team members to serve the technical needs of the program.
• Develop and execute integrated test plans for the efforts.
• Coordinate efforts of multiple government and industry partners.
• Provide periodic program reviews and technical presentations to high-ranking Government stakeholders.
• Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
• Grow technical efforts and take on task leadership for the Company.
