Principal Systems Engineer
About The Position
Life Cycle Engineering seeks a Principal Systems Engineer. In this role, you will directly support the ESSM Program Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Lead and be responsible for executing tasks in the areas of ILS, Sustainment Analysis, and Sustainment Planning. This will include tasks such as technical documentation, spares analysis, provisioning support, training, and field service activities. Requirements
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience
- Experience with engineering, logistics, sustainment and/or training.
- Experience with technical documentation for test equipment/test stands.
- Ability to obtain Interim Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
Nice To Haves
- Experience developing technical documentation and training materials, and writing technical documents with accuracy and adherence to existing standards.
- Broad knowledge of ILS processes, including sustainment and supportability principles and concepts.
- An understanding of the use of the Technical Data Package (drawings, parts list, interface control documents, and electrical schematics).
Responsibilities
- Provide general engineering support and product sustainment activities for developmental and legacy programs
- Act as a liaison with all engineering disciplines, such as Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Test, Materials and Processes, and Structural design functions
- Develop and update technical documentation for test equipment
- Ensure the technical integrity, quality, and adherence to standards of the In-Service Support (ISS) products produced for Logistics, Provisioning, Field Support, Intermediate Level Maintenance, and Depot Level Maintenance through engagement in peer reviews, program reviews, design reviews, failure review boards, investigation teams, and working groups
