About The Position

Raytheon is seeking an organized and energetic Senior Systems Engineer to join our team. The chosen candidate will work within the program which supports a proprietary customer with operational support to 24/7 Operations. This position will provide technical expertise, analysis, and engineering support to the Program. This position requires system engineering, analytical and problem-solving skills in a team environment. Location: Alexandria, Virginia.

Requirements

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 8 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience.
• Experience with sensemaking applications and tools
• Experience with data analytics.
• Experience executing presentations
• Experience with general data capture and visualization tools
• An active and transferable TS/SCI CI Poly U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with metrics, log analysis, and data capture.
• Experience with general and regression system testing.
• Experience with discrepancy tracking and management.

Responsibilities

• Support as a technical liaison with customers and demonstrate project leadership skills collaborating across customer and contractor boundaries.
• Perform in a high tempo, dynamic small team environment, closely integrated with customers and contractors.
• Routinely called upon to support major projects that support the program/customer.
• Develop and implement solutions to complex problems.
• Technically minded problem-solver, be able to focus on the task at hand, follow-through on the prescribed plan, flexible and think under pressure.
• Capture, analyze, and present systems performance metrics.
• Support Concept of Operations (CONOP) updates and provide applicable improvements.
• Functionally utilize systems related, discrepancy reporting, and data analysis tools (i.e. SPLUNK, KIBANA, etc.)
