About The Position

Raytheon’s Surface Radars and Sensors Center in Huntsville, Alabama is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to join the System Design and Requirements Capability team within the System Engineering & Integration Team. The role represents SE&IT in support of MDA/DE-SEA and the MDA Joint Analysis Team, conducting Missile Defense System performance analysis, primarily using data from MDA Ground Test (HWIL) programs. The engineer may also analyze MDA flight tests, real-world events, and Golden Dome for America tests. The position develops approaches and tools for system-level and element-level performance analysis, produces analysis results and inputs for official SEA test reports, and presents findings during mission data reviews. The engineer collaborates with systems engineering teams, test organizations, warfighters, and element program focal points to ensure tests meet technical intent, assess system capabilities, and characterize system behavior. Analysis covers MDS elements with a focus on system-level behaviors and the performance of the MDS kill chain. The position is onsite in Huntsville, Alabama, and domestic or local travel of approximately 10–15% is expected.
