About The Position

Raytheon is seeking a talented and motivated Principal Systems Engineer to join our team within the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SETC) Discipline, supporting the LTAMDS and GhostEye Radars. This role offers a unique opportunity to work across the full lifecycle of the product, from concept to deployment. This role is based ~100% onsite at a customer facility in Cambridge, MA.

Requirements

Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior engineering experience.
Experience with systems requirements, systems software, and systems hardware.
Experience with DOORs, MBSE, and Cameo / MagicDraw.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

Experience with systems integration and/or systems test.
Experience in software, hardware, electrical and/or mechanical design.
Experience in requirements development, design, verification, and validation.
Experience syncing and tracing requirements between DOORs and SysML modeling tools such as Cameo / MagicDraw.
Experience managing trade studies and design decisions.
Experience effectively presenting ideas to senior level stakeholders.
Experience in all phases of development: concept, requirements, design, implementation, and test.
Experience supporting design reviews during all phases of development.
10 or more years of experience on DoD and/or space programs.

Responsibilities

Perform and/or support core systems engineering activities: Develop requirements and algorithms, concepts of operations, system trades, and system interfaces.
Develop and maintain detailed SysML descriptive system models, linking and synchronization of requirements, and generate design documentation / views using Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
Interface with cross functional teams, such as Electrical and Software engineering, to help guide subsystem development and ensure compliance with requirements throughout the entire product lifecycle.
Frequent interface with Customer and other program stakeholders and collaborators.
Conduct and/or support technical peer reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Document and provide technical guidance to other members of the design team.
Communicate technical topics and issues in a clear and concise manner to both technical peers and non-technical team members.
