Raytheon’s Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Surface Radars & Sensors Center is seeking a motivated and experienced Principal Systems Engineer to lead the technical sustainment efforts for an early warning radar program within the Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) Long Range Radars Department. Sustainment is a dynamic environment with constantly changing priorities. This individual will provide engineering reach-back support, coordinate issue resolution, and report on radar performance and system operation status.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience in integration, test, and/or sustainment in an engineering Lab environment.
  • Experience in MATLAB, Python, Shell scripting, Linux, and/or Unix.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Secret - Current Security Clearance
  • Active and existing security clearance required on day 1

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Early Warning Radar systems.
  • Background in electrical or systems integration and verification, including methods and processes, as well as development of plans, procedures, and reports.
  • Knowledge of networking principles and switches.
  • Experience with generating technical documentation in support of requirements integration and verification.
  • Experience interfacing with internal and external customers and finding technical solutions to complex requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Support system level radar sustainment, execution, and reporting.
  • Lead reach back troubleshooting support of networking, hardware and software issues to maintain both CONUS System Integration Lab (SIL) and OCONUS site operations.
  • Interface with and report to US Government customer and Program Leadership on site operations system status, issue identification and resolution planning.
  • Utilize data analysis results to support issue identification and resolution as well as system level requirements verification.
  • Provide support during monthly Sustainment Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs) and In-Country Meetings with USG Customer and international end user (TAF).
  • Prepare System Downtime Requests to coordinate Site Availability, Test schedules and CONUS/OCONUS integration planning with USG and TAF.
  • Collaborate across engineering functions to drive performance and technical actions to closure.
