Principle Systems Engineering- Software

AST SpaceMobile•Dallas, TX

About The Position

AST SpaceMobile is developing SpaceMobile, a space-based cellular broadband network intended to provide 4G/5G-speed connectivity to standard smartphones around the world. The Principal Systems Engineer - Software will lead the definition, decomposition, and management of software requirements for a complex communications platform, translating stakeholder needs into clear, testable, and traceable requirements for engineering teams. This senior technical leadership role drives requirements excellence throughout the system lifecycle and works closely with software, hardware, network, systems, and test engineering teams to define, review, verify, validate, and maintain requirements from concept through deployment. The role also provides technical leadership on system architecture, integration, and requirements management initiatives; supports engineering decisions through trade studies and technical analyses; and promotes systems engineering principles across the organization. The position may require occasional travel for engineering reviews, integration activities, or stakeholder engagements. AST SpaceMobile is an equal opportunity, at-will employer.
