Principal Systems Engineer, Mission Integration & Analysis (Prime)
About The Position

In this role, you will provide senior technical leadership on a PRIME contract, helping shape mission systems from requirements and architecture through integration, implementation, and operational support. You will work closely with government stakeholders, program leadership, engineers, and mission users to translate complex needs into practical system solutions. Your role will span requirements development, architecture, design, integration, technical planning, and issue resolution, while also keeping you connected to the mission through outreach, support, and direct interaction with analysts and end users. This role combines senior systems engineering with direct mission engagement. You will not be working in isolation from the customer. You will help guide users through requirements, support technical decisions, resolve integration challenges, and influence how capabilities evolve over time. The position is especially well suited for someone who understands both the engineering side and the analyst side of the mission. Experience with AEA tools, Tier 1 and Tier 2 outreach and support, intelligence analysis, end-to-end dataflow, Multi-INT, and emerging AI technologies gives you the opportunity to bring a broader perspective to system design and implementation. Requirements
- Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph, must be active.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- 20 years of Systems Engineering experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university
- Five additional years of Systems Engineering experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree
- Strong background in Systems Engineering principles from requirements analysis through integration and delivery
- Experience analyzing user requirements, CONOPS documents, and high-level system architectures
- Experience developing system requirements specifications
- Experience leading technical design and development activities
- Experience developing system architecture and design documentation
- Ability to guide users in formulating requirements and evaluating alternative approaches
- Experience conducting feasibility studies and technical assessments
- Experience integrating requirements, design, and technology across complex systems
- Experience developing and assessing systems engineering management plans and integration and test plans
- Experience working directly with government and program stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working across diverse engineering teams
- Experience providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 outreach and support
- Experience as an Agency Intelligence Analyst
- Strong familiarity with AEA tools
- Ability to maintain technical integrity across systems engineering deliverables

Responsibilities
- Analyze user requirements, CONOPS documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications
- Lead systems engineering design and development activities
- Guide users in defining requirements and evaluating alternative technical approaches
- Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments
- Provide technical leadership across requirements, design, integration, and implementation
- Develop and maintain system architecture, design documentation, and technical plans
- Incorporate new systems and capabilities into ongoing operations
- Prepare and assess systems engineering management plans and system integration and test plans
- Serve as a primary technical point of contact for Systems Engineering considerations
- Work directly with government stakeholders and program personnel to resolve technical issues and conflicts
- Maintain the technical integrity of Systems Engineering deliverables
- Support mission users through Tier 1 and Tier 2 outreach and technical assistance
- Apply mission knowledge and analyst experience to help ensure technical solutions align with operational needs
- Support end-to-end understanding of data movement, analysis, and mission workflows
- Communicate technical direction clearly to engineers, government overseers, and senior executives
