About The Position

Capstone Research Corporation is seeking to expand our team. Capstone Research Corporation is headquartered in Huntsville Alabama. We are a customer-oriented engineering services company providing world class research and development support across the Department of Defense (DoD): Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Missile Defense Agency (MDA). Capstone Research Corporation has an immediate opening at Eglin AFB, FL for a full-time Principal Systems Analyst to support warfighter integration for USAF Command and Control systems, with a focus on deployable C2 capabilities. The Principal Systems Analyst will serve as a senior operational and technical bridge between the USAF Program Acquisition Element Command, Control, Communications, Battle Management (PAE C3BM), Deployable Systems Branch, interacting directly with USAF developmental test and operational test teams for C2 systems at Eglin AFB and operational end users across AFNORTH, USAFE, and PACAF. The ideal candidate brings a balanced background in warfighter operations, program execution, project management, test support, and joint analysis. This role requires the ability to translate operational needs into actionable development, test, and fielding priorities while ensuring the emerging capabilities remain aligned with real-world mission requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of relevant experience; additional operational, test, or program leadership experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in USAF, joint, or coalition command and control operations, air operations, battle management, deployable C2, or related mission areas.
  • Experience working with operational users and technical teams to translate mission needs into requirements, test objectives, system improvements, or fielding recommendations.
  • Background in at least two of the following areas: operational C2 employment, program/project management, developmental or operational test, joint analysis, requirements development, or capability integration.
  • Strong understanding of USAF and joint operational environments, including combatant command, component command, MAJCOM, or numbered Air Force-level coordination.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior military leaders, government civilians, engineers, testers, analysts, and contractor teams.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary warfighter integration SME supporting coordination among development teams, DT/OT organizations, and operational MAJCOM end users.
  • Translate warfighter requirements, operational concepts, mission threads, and lessons learned into clear inputs for system development, test planning, and capability refinement.
  • Support planning, execution, and analysis of developmental and operational test activities for USAF C2 systems, including deployable command and control capabilities.
  • Facilitate collaboration with AFNORTH, USAFE, PACAF, and other operational stakeholders to capture user feedback, identify capability gaps, and prioritize mission-driven improvements.
  • Support requirements definition, CONOPS development, use case development, operational workflow analysis, test objectives, measures of effectiveness, and after-action reporting.
  • Provide senior-level insight into air component operations, joint command and control, battle management, contingency response, and deployable C2 employment.
  • Coordinate across government, contractor, test, and operational teams to manage integration risks, track actions, and support decision-quality recommendations.
  • Brief senior leaders, program offices, test organizations, and warfighter representatives on operational impacts, test findings, capability gaps, and recommended courses of action.
