Requirements

  • Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Experience using Active Directory, VMware vCenter, vSphere, or other virtual computing methods.
  • Experience with Windows deployment, administration, security hardening, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with infrastructure backup, restore, disaster recovery and business continuity products.

Nice To Haves

  • An active DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance
  • Experience with infrastructure backup, restore, disaster recovery and business continuity products
  • Scripting Experience.
  • Experience using tools like SCAP and following STIGs.
  • Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development.

Responsibilities

  • Provide IT systems administration support in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Manage and maintain core services including DNS, DHCP, Active Directory (AD), and server replication.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve moderate to complex issues involving integration of hardware, operating systems, and software applications.
  • Implement and manage data RAID, backup, and recovery technologies.
  • Collaborate with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain compliance with security requirements.
  • Install, configure, and document software applications requested by end users.
  • Provide user and system documentation, process training, and ongoing technical support.
  • Participate in on-call or after-hours system maintenance as required to support 24x7 operations.
  • Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements within 6 months of start date.
  • Travel up to 5% domestically based on business needs.
