About The Position

Nscale is seeking a Principal Supply Chain Manager to drive analytical rigor, forecasting accuracy, and capital efficiency across its global hardware supply chain. This role partners with the VP, Supply Chain Planning to translate demand signals, deployment plans, and infrastructure expansion roadmaps into actionable procurement, allocation, and inventory strategies. The successful candidate will lead cross-functional efforts across commercial, infrastructure, finance, and supply chain planning to ensure GPUs and supporting hardware are available in the right region, at the right time, and in the right configuration. This leadership position is critical in helping Nscale plan and scale hardware availability across multiple global datacenter regions while reducing excess inventory, stranded capital, and supply risk.

Requirements

  • 10–12 years of experience in supply chain management, demand planning, or procurement operations
  • Experience in datacenter, cloud infrastructure, or hyperscale environments
  • Demonstrated experience with GPU-based supply chains or hardware procurement at scale
  • Understanding of hardware lifecycle economics in capital-intensive environments
  • Proven track record managing OEM and hardware vendor relationships, with logistics coordination expertise
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling, with ability to build complex analytical models
  • SQL skills and comfort working with operational datasets
  • Proficiency with supply chain planning systems such as SAP, Anaplan, or NetSuite (hands-on or strategic oversight)
  • Exposure to BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to deliver executive-level insights and strategic recommendations

Responsibilities

  • Develop short- and mid-term demand forecasts for GPUs, servers, networking, and supporting infrastructure
  • Translate commercial pipeline and expansion plans into hardware demand models
  • Lead scenario modeling for capacity expansion and regional demand analysis
  • Drive forecast accuracy improvements through data analysis and process refinement
  • Build and maintain supply visibility models across GPU vendors and OEMs
  • Identify and mitigate allocation risks, lead times, and region-specific supply constraints
  • Lead supply concentration risk assessment and mitigation strategy development
  • Make allocation decisions across global datacenter regions in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Analyze inventory levels, turns, aging, and capital utilization
  • Identify excess or underutilized hardware and recommend rebalancing strategies
  • Optimize buffer stock and spare pooling strategies to balance service levels and capital efficiency
  • Maintain reporting on inventory position and capital efficiency metrics
  • Lead cross-region allocation analysis to balance customer demand and hardware availability
  • Oversee new datacenter launches from a hardware readiness perspective
  • Analyze logistics and import/export constraints affecting deployment timelines
  • Design and maintain dashboards covering demand versus supply position, GPU allocation status, and inventory health
  • Develop strategic analysis to support supply chain decisions and business planning
  • Lead alignment with Finance on hardware forecasting and capital planning strategy
  • Conduct risk modeling and sensitivity analysis for supply planning and scenario planning
