This role serves as the technical authority for substation physical and/or Protection & Control (P&C) projects, providing engineering leadership across multiple concurrent projects from scoping through commissioning. The role provides expert-level review and final sign-off on substation design drawings, directs the development and validation of bills of materials, and holds ultimate accountability for quality control across the design lifecycle. The engineer will direct full project lifecycle execution, ensure designs meet or exceed National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) requirements, interpret and adapt client design standards, and mentor junior engineers. Support for construction phase activities, including RFI resolution and field engineering support, is also required. Occasional travel to customer sites is expected.
