About The Position

This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days/week in office in our Portland, OR, Renton, WA, or Salt Lake City, UT offices. Candidates must reside within commutable distance of that location or be willing to relocate. Principal Strategy & Innovation Consultants lead complex, high-impact strategy engagements, advise senior executives, and translate organizational goals into actionable plans to create an economically sustainable health care system. The ideal candidate is a trusted thought partner to senior leaders, brings clarity to complex strategic challenges, and has a passion for shaping the future of health care through rigorous analysis and innovative thinking.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree strongly preferred, or equivalent experience in Business, Economics, Healthcare, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in business strategy development, management consulting, healthcare strategy, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Previous experience in business strategy development through management consulting, investment banking, or an in-house strategy team
  • Well-established strategy toolkit including research, quantitative analysis, qualitative synthesis, and written/oral communication
  • Comfort and facility with both quantitative and qualitative information
  • Executive-level presence and communication style, including content development and C-suite presentations
  • Ability to develop and cultivate relationships across all levels of the organization, particularly with senior leadership
  • Experience translating business strategy into execution plans and assessing impact
  • Ability to develop project scope and plans to meet sponsor needs, manage multiple workstreams, and complete advanced analysis for complex projects
  • Effective skills in managing executive sponsor engagement, facilitating working sessions and decision meetings
  • Prior experience leading a portfolio of complex strategy engagements and balancing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience serving as a thought partner to senior executives, advising on business and organizational performance

  • Experience with AI tools and technologies to enhance productivity and decision-making in professional settings highly desired

Responsibilities

  • Support overall corporate strategy and innovation planning with a focus on long-term enterprise growth
  • Partner in annual planning activities, translating organizational goals and objectives into initiatives, timelines, and actionable plans
  • Identify needed projects, scope project plans, and manage work end-to-end across the organization with limited guidance
  • Execute analytics frameworks to forecast market sizes, financial projections, ROIs, and other quantitative market trends relevant to strategic projects
  • Track key market trends and highlight implications for the organization and lines of business
  • Regularly present insights and recommendations to senior leaders and lead strategy workshops
  • Manage several projects simultaneously, effectively communicating priorities and timing to stakeholders
