About The Position

Responsible for addressing supply-related issues in coordination with Site Operations, Planning, Quality, and Finance departments. Participate in and provide leadership of strategic sourcing activities, with an emphasis on product lifecycle and supplier management. Responsible for product lifecycle processes, including product and component P-I/P-O (phase-in/phase-out), and support for SIP (Strategic Inventory Purchases), Last Time Buy (LTB), and excess & obsolete (E&O) inventory processes. Provide analytical and problem-solving abilities to apply structured methodologies in identifying root causes of supply disruptions and implement corrective actions using Root Cause Analysis (RCA), 5Whys and cause mapping. Support supplier capacity planning and assist sourcing leaders in identifying and addressing capacity constraints through participation in SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning) activities. Responsible for dual-source initiatives, including evaluation and integration of alternative suppliers to mitigate risk, planning systems and frameworks, including Master Production Schedule (MPS) processes, through line down emails following up the most critical parts. Collaborate across plants to maintain Material Usage Variance (MUV) within target with responsibilities for inventory control strategies, including inventory reserves, safety stock management, and continuity of supply. Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Position works a hybrid model and will be onsite in Ponce, PR at least 4 days per week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering or related engineering field.
  • Five (5) years of progressive post baccalaureate experience as a Strategic Sourcing Specialist, Buyer or related occupation.
  • At least five (5) years’ experience with Product lifecycle processes, including product and component P-I/P-O, and support for Strategic Inventory Purchases, LTB, and E&O inventory processes.
  • At least five (5) years’ experience with Root Cause Analysis, 5Whys, and cause mapping.
  • At least five (5) years’ experience supporting supplier capacity planning and constraints in SIOP activities.
  • At least five (5) years’ experience with dual-source initiatives, including evaluation and integration of alternative suppliers to mitigate risk.
  • At least five (5) years’ experience with planning systems and frameworks, including MPS processes.
  • At least five (5) years’ experience collaborating across plants to maintain MUV within target, inventory control strategies, including inventory reserves, safety stock management, and continuity of supply.
  • Possess unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment (for roles below Principal level, but this is a Principal level role).
