About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Principal Storage Engineer. In this role, you will act as an advisor to leadership to develop or influence applications, network, information security, database, operating systems, or web technologies for highly complex business and technical needs across multiple groups. You will lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking. You will translate advanced technology experience, an in-depth knowledge of the organizations tactical and strategic business objectives, the enterprise technological environment, the organization structure, and strategic technological opportunities and requirements into technical engineering solutions. You will provide vision, direction and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions. You will maintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies and recommends innovations that enhance operations or provide a competitive advantage to the organization. You will strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadership.

Requirements

7+ years of Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
4+ years of Storage engineering experience (Virtualization, Cloud, Hybrid)

Nice To Haves

Experience with VMware/Openshift/Kubernetes.
Experience with Block, Data protection, file and object storage.
Experience consulting on multiple enterprise wide compute, storage and database transformation programs for the enterprise.
Experience with taking software/hardware products and services from inception to customer delivery
Strong knowledge, understanding and prior experiences with regulatory drivers impacting a complex and dynamic global technology environment.
Experience implementing Infrastructure-as-a-Service through CI/CD pipeline automation.
Experience with Agile processes and cloud service development
Proven experience transforming infrastructure functions in a product model construct, which would include participation in product roadmap planning and feature/backlog prioritization.
Engineering expertise in compute, storage and database connectivity, automation [i.e., python, ansible, terraform]and cloud technologies to drive the vision in alignment with the Technology Strategy and customer needs.
