This role will support production activities for the Command Systems Team. The preferred candidate will be an individual with a bias for action, strategic thinking, data analysis, problem-solving, exceptional customer focus, communications, and a sound foundation in Industrial Engineering concepts, with an expertise in scheduling, manpower, and facility layouts. General skills and expectations within the role include: Strong foundation in Industrial Engineering fundamentals (Production Intervals, Cycle Time, Takt Time, Standard Hour Content, Time Studies, EVMS, Continuous Improvement, Scheduling, Capacity Analysis, Facility Layouts) Understand principles of capacity (efficiencies, standards, constraints, etc.) Knowledge of manufacturing flows and how they interface with shop floor and Global Supply Chain Ability to create Shop Operation Plans for production units and track daily shop floor performance. Ability to create Recovery Schedules for the production floor. Understand labor standard development and work measurement. Create standard hour content for new scope. Perform shop floor time studies on manufacturing and test activities. Work with functional team to understand scheduling requirements at implementation sites Ability to create detailed manufacturing waterfall schedules with setbacks to independent demands Utilize process improvement methodology (e.g., value stream mapping, employee engagement techniques, flow reduction, etc.) Design and optimize Shop Floor/Facility Layouts Understand principals of cost management (Earned Value, Milestone payments) Conduct Manufacturing Readiness Assessments (MRAs) with Suppliers Engage and collaborate with various product teams and functional organizations (from individual contributors to executive staff) to obtain, understand, and interpret manufacturing facilitation and scheduling requirements Document, track and monitor problems and ensure a timely resolution Utilize your strong organizational, planning and decision-making skills and the ability to work as a team member and with other members from different technical backgrounds Ability to coordinate with larger teams at different site locations Create and present technical briefings for upper management and technical leadership.
