About The Position

The Northrop Grumman Classified Solutions team is seeking a Principal/Sr. Principal Computer Systems Analyst - Windows to support information system lifecycle activities. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site, full-time at our Emerado, North Dakota location. This position may be filled as a Level 3 or Level 4, depending on the qualifications outlined below. The SkillBridge Program is an opportunity for service members preparing for civilian careers to gain valuable civilian work experience during their last 6 months of service, for up to 180 days. SkillBridge participants are not eligible for compensation from Northrop Grumman, as they continue to receive military compensation and benefits as active-duty service members. The service-member will work on site with their host company, gaining experience in an entry to mid-level career path. The service member will receive on the job training while supporting a work schedule equivalent to 40 hours per week. The goal is to provide separating service-members with job skills training in a professional setting during the final phase of their military service, offering hands-on experience that results in the potential to convert to a full-time opportunity at the conclusion of the training. Participants will serve as a pipeline for high-speed, motivated military candidates into NGC. Service Members who complete the SkillBridge program will be highly trained and capable future employees who align to the specific needs of the organization and are prepared to meet the NGC mission “Defining Possible” on Day 1. This program provides comprehensive hands-on experience including professional development, networking with leadership, and training specifically focused on NGC leadership principles, company history, customer/stakeholder engagement, product and service overview, and core job responsibilities. The outcome is to offer service members preparing for civilian careers a rewarding opportunity to join the Northrop Grumman team.

Requirements

Associate’s degree with 7 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience; a High School diploma or equivalent with 9 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree (for Level 3).
Associate’s degree with 10 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 6 years of relevant experience, or a PhD with 4 years of relevant experience; a High School diploma or equivalent with 12 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree (for Level 4).
Applicants must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret level security clearance (at a minimum), to include a closed investigation date completed within the last 6 years, or must be enrolled in the DoD Continuous Evaluation Program (CEP) in order to be considered; the required security clearance must be maintained as a condition of continued employment.
Experience with designing and maintaining Windows domain architectures, including but not limited to Active Directory, GPOs, Policies, and permissions in a classified environment.
Candidates must meet the U.S. Government Directive 8140 Security Control Assessor Intermediate qualification requirements for a Computer Systems Analyst: Security+ certification; the required certification must be maintained as a condition of continued employment.
Has served at least 180 days on active duty.
Is within 12 months of separation or retirement.
Will receive an honorable discharge.
Has taken any service TAPS/TGPS.
Has attended or participated in an ethics brief within the last 12 months.
Received Unit Commander (first O-4/Field Grade commander in chain of command) written authorization and approval to participate in SkillBridge Program prior to start of internship.

Nice To Haves

Experienced Windows Server Administration to include, Microsoft Failover Cluster, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, LDAP and other services.
Experience operating under and managing systems within NISPOM Chapter 8, DCID 6/3-ICD 503, RMF, STIG, JAFAN, or JSIG information system environments.
Experienced with networking, including subnets, routing, VLANs and VTCs; Cisco experience and/or certification.
Experience with COMSEC management (TACLANES, HAIPE, etc.).
Experienced in the creation, maintenance, and deployment of system images in an enterprise environment.
Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware in a networked environment.
Experience working in virtualized environments, Hyper,-V, Storage Spaces Direct.
Deploy and maintain Backup solutions (e.g. Cohesity, Vertias, Veeam, etc) and SAN storage systems.
Experience with environmental monitoring tools (e.g. HBSS, Solar Winds, Splunk).
Experience in scripting and automation.
Operating System cross-platform awareness (i.e. two or more: Windows, Linux, Solaris, OSX, UNIX, Redhat, etc.).
Experience with Assessment & Authorization processes.

Responsibilities

Perform as a Computer Systems Analyst - Windows in support of classified government contracts.
Communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, with internal and external customers, in written and verbal format.
Establish and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction according to defined objectives while adhering to established policies.
Report task statuses as required for all recurring and non-recurring efforts in written and verbal format.
Oversee and lead the reliable operations of multi-user computer systems working with system engineers, PC desktop technicians, networking engineers, project managers, end users, and IT/Cyber management.
Analyze and make recommendations to internal or external customer requirements and determine equipment and software requirements for solutions to problems.
Recommend and implement system enhancements, to include automation, that will improve the performance of the system including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management.
Ensure compliant and reliable backup and recovery services, manage file systems and disk space, and manage virus protection on a routine basis.
Test and oversee new releases of products to ensure compatibility and minimize user impact.
Lead the development and documentation of technical processes and procedures.
Interact, meet, discuss, and troubleshoot issues with vendors, and evaluate vendor products, services, and suggestions.
Adhere to strict Information Systems security guidelines in all cases and report security relevant statuses accordingly.
Ensure accurate security audit and logging information on all classified networked and standalone computers as directed by the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM).
Work across disciplines to isolate issues between software, firmware, and hardware, between software and operating systems, between networks and applications, and between one-time events and recurrent systematic problems.
Lift equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
