Play a key role in driving the success of critical programs at Collins Aerospace Mission Systems! As a Principal Specialist Program Cost Controls Analyst, you’ll be at the center of program execution, ensuring costs and schedules are effectively managed within a validated control system. This position will be an integrated part of the program environment and financial analysis functions, offering an opportunity to collaborate with cross functional teams, including Program Management, Engineering, Finance, Contracts, and Operations—while gaining visibility with senior leadership and external customers. Hybrid: This is a hybrid role, working approximately 3 days/week in-office at our Largo, FL site. Selected candidate must live within commuting distance to this site. No relocation is provided. You will be responsible for implementing, reporting, and maintaining accounting system data. You will demonstrate an ability to influence decisions and communicate at various levels of management and with the customer. In addition, you should be able to quickly problem-solve and create new methods to analyze data and identify potential issues.

Requirements

  • Typically requires: Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
  • Experience in Earned Value Management concepts and application
  • Proficient in MS Office Applications (specifically MS Excel)
  • Experience with analytical skills including Estimating, Financial analysis, Cash management, and Financial planning
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics, and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to include driving for results
  • Previous experience using SAP, APEX, APEX EV, Analysis for Office (AO), and Program Management Excellence (PMX) preferred
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely with multiple levels of leadership and multiple functional team members

Responsibilities

  • Preparation and presentation of program financial deliverables
  • Collaborate with Program LT to analyze, prepare and input monthly sales, profit, and milestone billing forecasts and perform same effort for Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Strategic Financial Plan (SFP) on assigned program(s)
  • Preparation and presentation of internal and external reporting requirements
  • Generation and analysis of Estimate At Completion (EACs) on a quarterly basis including costs, and risks and opportunities
  • Prepare monthly customer Earned Value CDRLs, process BCRs, etc.
  • Utilization of business software such as SAP, APEX, APEX EV, Business Warehouse, and Program Management Excellence (PMX) to manage program operations
  • Creative and complex problem solving
  • Demonstrated commitment to meeting deadlines
  • Excellent business partner skills and customer focus
  • Limited potential to travel
