About The Position

Collins Aerospace is seeking a dynamic and driven Engineering Representative to provide top-tier technical support for their advanced systems on Boeing Commercial aircraft throughout the Charleston, SC Region. This role serves as the technical liaison at Boeing's Charleston SC facilities, engaging in a comprehensive range of on-site engineering activities. Responsibilities span from overseeing technical aspects of all commercial activity, including final assembly and flight tests, to acting as the quality-focused Engineer on-site. This is an onsite position supporting Boeing’s operations in Charleston, SC, requiring flexibility to work 1st and 2nd shifts as well as on-call support.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
  • Aircraft experience with rework/repair of mechanical and electrical LRUs/LRMs per CMM documentation, configuration management requirements, controls diagnostics, software installation/upgrades and system troubleshooting at aircraft final assembly
  • Must be a U.S. Person (lawful permanent resident or protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3))

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Aerospace, Aviation, Electrical or Systems Engineering preferred
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working in lab environment working Hardware/Software Integration preferred
  • Aerospace standards knowledge preferred
  • Experience in post flight processing techniques preferred
  • Experience with hardware design preferred, with quality credentials

Responsibilities

  • Work on-site daily with Boeing teams to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues encountered during aircraft final build and customer delivery for Boeing Commercial programs in the region
  • Act as a hands-on technical resource during high-priority tasks, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently to maintain production and delivery schedules
  • Provide engineering support for certification activities
  • Assist Boeing laboratories with ongoing and upcoming program development, including testing, analysis, and engineering evaluations
  • Offer on-call support during critical production periods and holidays as needed
  • Partner closely with Boeing stakeholders to ensure all technical challenges are mitigated in a timely manner and aircraft meet quality and delivery standards
  • Maintain strong communication with Boeing and internal leadership, providing clear status updates, risk identification, and resolution plans
