Rockwell Collins Inc. d/b/a Collins Aerospace has an opening for a Principal Specialist, Data Science & Analytics in Charlotte, NC. This is a hybrid role; must work 3 days onsite in the Charlotte, NC office and can work 2 days remote within the US. Up to one national travel per year. Requirements

  • Must possess at least a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Information Systems or a related field and at least 5 years of progressive experience as a Business Analyst or related role. In the alternative, at least a master’s degree or its equivalent in Information Systems or a related field and at least 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or related role.
  • Must possess at least 3 years of experience with: SAP ECC.
  • Must possess at least 3 years of experience working with information systems.
  • Must possess at least 2 years of experience with security for master data objects.
  • Must possess at least 2 years of experience with SQL.
  • Must possess at least 2 years of experience with Winshuttle.
  • Non-US Person - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company’s immigration sponsorship now or in the future. The company will not offer immigration sponsorship for this position. The company will not seek an export authorization for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance for planning, purchasing, processing and ultimate use of IT structures/systems/processes within the Company.
  • Responsible for one or more of the IT structures, systems / processes such as networking, e-mail, intranet, telecommunication services, CRM, ERP or business process automation.
  • Select, implement, develop, maintain and support business systems and digital applications through understanding business processes and their implications and applying process improvement concepts for simplification and productivity to support business goals and objectives.
  • Responsible for alignment of business systems technology selection, programming, configuring and testing of both new applications and legacy systems, which requires knowledge of systems architecture, development processes for improved design, as well as understanding of systems integration for applications.
  • Align digital services, service levels, technology, vendor/supplier management, and initiatives with business strategies and needs.
  • Represent the business in enterprise/corporate initiatives.
  • Act as a business contact and advocate for delivery of high-quality digital services.
  • Work with Security/Compliance, Infrastructure, and Project Management Groups to manage and document the digital technology portfolio.
