You will collaborate across R&D, systems, and cross-functional teams to drive quality excellence from concept through commercialization—directly impacting patient outcomes worldwide.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field
  • Minimum of 7+ years of software quality engineering experience, OR Master’s degree with 5+ years of experience, OR PhD with 3+ years of experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in medical device, regulated industry, or safety-critical systems (FDA, IEC 62304, ISO 13485)
  • Strong expertise in software verification & validation (V&V), validation strategy, and traceability
  • Deep understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and DevOps environments
  • Experience with embedded systems, SaMD (Software as a Medical Device), or digital health platforms
  • Proficiency with test automation frameworks, scripting (Python, C++, MATLAB, or similar)
  • Experience working with risk management (ISO 14971), design controls, and regulatory submissions
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex initiatives and influence cross-functional stakeholders
  • Prior experience in neuromodulation, neurotechnology, signal processing, or implantable systems strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead software quality engineering activities across the full product lifecycle, including requirements, design, development, integration, testing, and validation
  • Develop, implement, and maintain software quality standards, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory requirements
  • Drive software verification and validation (V&V) strategy, ensuring traceability, testability, and completeness of system requirements
  • Review software architecture, design specifications, and change requests to ensure alignment with quality, regulatory, and contractual requirements
  • Define and monitor key quality metrics to ensure product performance and continuous improvement
  • Ensure project and process documentation meets quality standards and supports audit readiness
  • Serve as a technical quality expert, influencing cross-functional decision-making and driving resolution of complex quality issues
  • Lead or contribute to large-scale, cross-functional programs with significant organizational impact
  • Mentor and provide guidance to engineers and team members within software quality and broader development teams
