About The Position

This role involves applying engineering principles to complex technical projects, requiring in-depth analysis, advanced techniques, knowledge, and expertise. The position focuses on the architecture, design, development, and deployment of systems critical to network solutions. Key responsibilities include leading efforts to consolidate network configuration management applications, gathering and reviewing software requirements, creating design specifications, and assessing hardware/software interactions. The role also involves designing and coding software applications using various programming languages and network protocols, developing solutions to integrate legacy mainframe systems with modern architectures, and implementing AI/ML-driven solutions for automation and optimization. Additionally, the position requires developing and implementing automated test plans, troubleshooting application issues, providing technical expertise and mentorship, and utilizing continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) principles with Agile methodologies. Experience with cloud-native applications on Azure, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes/OpenShift) is essential. The role also involves working with IP networking, network OSS architecture, open-source technologies, AI technologies, programming languages like Python, Java, JavaScript, React, Angular, and shell scripting, as well as frameworks like Spring Boot, Microservices, and Spring Cloud. Developing RESTful APIs, utilizing TIRKS, and working with network protocols like TCP and Netconf are also key aspects. The role emphasizes developing AI/ML solutions for autonomous decision-making and Intent-Based networking principles.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Electronics Engineering or Computer Science
5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered, or 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation
Deploying cloud native applications on Azure
Experience with containerization technologies like Docker
Experience with orchestration tools such as Kubernetes or OpenShift
Working on IP networking
Network device configuration
Network OSS architecture
Opensource technologies
Use of AI technologies to develop optimal business solutions and achieve cycle time reductions
Working with programming languages python, Java, JavaScript, React, Angular and shell scripting
Working with Spring Boot, Microservices, and Spring Cloud
Developing RESTful APIs and web services for seamless integration

Responsibilities

Apply engineering principles and practice in broad areas of complex technical project work that requires in-depth analysis using advanced techniques, knowledge, and expertise.
Perform architecture, design, development, and deployment of systems supporting network solutions critical.
Lead efforts to consolidate multiple network configuration management applications into a unified, efficient, and scalable solution.
Gather and review software requirements, provide estimates, create design specifications, and work with engineers/architects to assess and test hardware and software interactions.
Design and code software applications by applying various programming languages and network protocols.
Develop solutions to integrate mainframe-based legacy systems with modern non-mainframe architectures, ensuring operational continuity during transformation.
Develop and implement AI/ML-driven solutions to enhance automation, improve accuracy, and optimize network provisioning processes.
Create innovative Agentic AI technologies to enable autonomous decision-making and adaptability in network configuration and provisioning systems.
Develop and implement automated test plans, validate test environments, data, and results, design and implement code fixes, and produce reporting.
Troubleshoot and resolve application configuration and environment issues.
Provide technical expertise and mentorship to cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with AT&T’s strategic goals and industry standards.
Use continuous integration continuous deployment principals along with using Agile development methodologies to ensure timely delivery and deployment of critical business features.
Deploy cloud native applications on Azure and experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes or OpenShift.
Work on IP networking, network device configuration, network OSS architecture, Opensource technologies and use of AI technologies to develop optimal business solutions and achieve cycle time reductions.
