About The Position

Security represents the most critical priorities for our customers in a world awash in digital threats, regulatory scrutiny, and estate complexity. Microsoft Security aspires to make the world a safer place for all. Our team protects enterprise, consumer and agent identities against sophisticated attacks. We are using machine learning and generative AI to evaluate billions of transactions and petabytes of telemetry online. Security, availability, efficiency and scale are essential for us. As AI agents become a new digital identity, protecting them will be one of the defining security challenges of the next decade. This team is building the foundational security platform that will protect agents from prompt injection, memory poisoning, credential abuse, and emerging threats. This is the highest priority project in Security division, with direct visibility at EVP level. We are looking for an experienced and passionate engineering leaders to join us. You will lead the engineering strategy and execution for a new class of identity protection systems that safeguard both humans and AI agents at cloud scale. You will also have the opportunity to learn and apply the most advanced GenAI technologies in security. This team has both machine learning experts and engineering guru. Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
• 3+ years’ experience as people manager to lead an engineering team.
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Nice To Haves

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
• Experience in machine learning, deep learning and GenAI.
• Experience building large-scale, distributed platforms.
• Experience in security (optional).

Responsibilities

• Work with data science team to train machine learning models for threat detection and unified risk model.
• Lead the definition of requirements, KPIs, priorities and planning of engineering deliverables.
• Lead the design and implementation of client and services for extremely high scale, throughput, durability, and low latency.
• Mentor and grow the energetic, diverse, and driven junior team members.
• Build AI agent to automatically detect system vulnerability and simulate real attacks.
• Build data platform and signal ingestion pipeline.
• Design and integrate machine learning models in production systems to achieve real-time user and agent protection.
• Focus on customer/partner needs through a data driven approach.
