About The Position
The Microsoft 365 Defender suite leverages the Microsoft 365 security portfolio to automatically analyze threat data across domains, building a complete picture of each attack in a single dashboard to monitor, hunt, detect and remediate threats. The agent, deployed on over 100 million machines, is responsible for collecting events from the endpoint, processing them, and sending them to the cloud for analysis. This role involves developing cutting-edge detection and remediation systems and shaping the future of the product. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
- Strong coding skills in C, C++, or Rust (or equivalent experience).
- Deep understanding and experience with Windows/Linux system internals.
- Proven experience designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining large-scale features and systems.
- A collaborative and proactive mindset – curious, strong communicator, and enjoys working with others to solve hard problems.

Responsibilities
- Lead a team of developers developing Microsoft Defender for Endpoint's agent (Sense) using C++ on the Windows platform.
- Work on cutting-edge technologies to deliver new features that impact and protect millions of users.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, PM, research, and data science.
- Work closely with experienced engineers in an agile and fast-moving development team.
- Mentor peers and help them succeed.
- Apply a critical view of our infrastructure, technologies, and development process.
- Proactively push to improve the product and our group.
