Our team in Tewksbury, Massachusetts is looking for a candidate to join our world-class engineering team as a Principal Software Engineering Architect. The candidate is expected to be able to comprehend customer needs and translate them into viable architectural and design solutions. The selected candidate must also be able to use their sound and demonstrable understanding of software principles, theories and concepts related to software engineering, and demonstrate critical thinking skills with the ability to communicate concepts and ideas well.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM), and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience architecting, multi-security level, mission-critical software systems
  • Experience translating system requirements into scalable, implementable software architectures and guiding technical execution across teams
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • 4+ years of design or architecting experience
  • Effective presentation and written communication skills
  • Experience architecting/designing to meet data processing performance requirements
  • Strong collaboration skills with hardware, integration & test and program leadership to ensure end-to-end system performance and delivery
  • Experience working in classified environments with strong understanding of security constraints, and data handling requirements
