Principal Software Engineer
About The Position
Microsoft Entra secures identities for billions of users, including AI agents. The Conditional Access team owns the real-time policy engine that controls access based on conditions. This role focuses on building the Conditional Access Optimization Agent, an AI system designed to analyze policies, identify risks, and recommend or apply changes to enhance security without disrupting users. The Principal Software Engineer will define the technical direction for securing AI at Microsoft, encompassing both the security of AI agents and the use of agents to protect customers. This involves integrating the Conditional Access policy engine, Identity Protection risk signals, and the emerging agent-identity platform.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field
- 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements
- Ability to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
