About The Position

This role focuses on AI Application Development, leveraging GenAI to accelerate the design and implementation of end-to-end applications. You will incorporate communication components like email and SMS, integrate LLMs, MCP, and agent-based workflows into enterprise applications, and build scalable, reusable frameworks. The position also involves System Architecture & Scalability, deploying systems using Kubernetes and microservices, ensuring high availability and reliability. Automation & Efficiency with GenAI is a key aspect, automating metrics, tracking, and assessments using AI-driven workflows and developing AI agents for personalized notifications. Operational & Engineering Excellence requires applying OE/EE principles, standardizing AI-assisted practices for CI/CD, code reviews, testing, and observability, and partnering with leadership to embed automation-first practices. Technical Leadership involves representing SCMAL in OE/EE forums, leading OE/EE champions, and communicating advancements to the developer community.

Requirements

  • Full-stack engineering experience with exposure to AI/ML and DevOps-focused development.
  • Strong backend development skills using Python, Java, or similar languages.
  • Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes, microservices, and service-oriented architectures.
  • Ability to design and scale enterprise software that automates operational workflows.
  • Experience with LLM APIs, MCP, and GenAI frameworks.
  • Strong programming discipline including CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and monitoring.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native stacks such as GCP and Azure.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
  • OR 7 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

Responsibilities

  • Use GenAI to accelerate the design and implementation of end-to-end applications using backend technologies such as Python, Java, Node.js, and Go.
  • Incorporate communication components including email and SMS into application workflows.
  • Integrate LLMs, MCP, and agent-based workflows into enterprise applications that replace manual OE/EE tracking and project management.
  • Build modular, configurable, reusable frameworks that scale across hundreds of engineering teams.
  • Architect and deploy systems using Kubernetes, containerized microservices, and service-oriented architectures.
  • Ensure high availability, observability, and reliability for AI-powered applications.
  • Optimize systems for performance, maintainability, and scalability within large enterprise environments.
  • Automate OE/EE metrics, modernization tracking, and engineering maturity assessments using AI-driven workflows.
  • Build AI tools that reduce manual reporting and project management overhead.
  • Replace manual follow-ups and escalations with intelligent agentic workflows.
  • Develop AI agents that deliver personalized team notifications and insights.
  • Support scenarios such as AI-driven OKR tracking, automated engineering dashboards, AI-assisted follow-ups, and intelligent escalation handling.
  • Apply OE/EE principles to ensure designs are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with productivity goals.
  • Standardize AI-assisted practices for CI/CD, code reviews, testing rigor, and observability.
  • Partner with leadership to embed automation-first practices into operational models.
  • Represent SCMAL in company-wide OE/EE forums.
  • Lead OE/EE champions to act on organizational priorities.
  • Communicate advancements, tooling updates, and best practices to the broader developer community.
