About The Position

We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer to design, develop, test, implement, and maintain cloud-based software applications and enterprise healthcare technology solutions. This role involves architecting scalable, secure, and reliable systems using Microsoft Azure cloud services and various programming languages and databases. You will build and enhance APIs, microservices, and data integration workflows to support critical healthcare functions. Additionally, you will work with AI-enabled solutions, implement CI/CD pipelines, and apply security controls for healthcare data. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and participation in Agile ceremonies are key aspects of this position.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Applied Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems, or a related field.
• 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer/Developer, Consultant, or in a related/similar position.
• 6 years in enterprise software development, CI/CD, DevOps, deployment automation, cloud release support, Microsoft Azure cloud services, cloud-native, REST API and GraphQL microservices development.
• 6 years using C#, .NET, Nestjs, Python, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• 5 years with MongoDB (NoSQL) and SQL database design and optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain cloud-based software applications and enterprise healthcare technology solutions.
• Architect scalable, secure, and reliable systems using Microsoft Azure cloud services, Node.js, Nest.js, C#, .NET, MongoDB, SQL, and related technologies.
• Build and enhance REST and GraphQL APIs, microservices, and data integration workflows to support patient engagement, clinic operations, appointment scheduling, billing, and interoperability with healthcare systems.
• Develop and optimize backend services, frontend applications, data platform components, and database solutions, including performance tuning, caching, query optimization, and data modeling.
• Work with AI-enabled solutions including OpenAI models, large language models (LLMs), prompt-driven workflows, and data platform integrations to support intelligent automation, search, summarization, and business process improvements.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, containerized deployments, monitoring, logging, and release management processes using DevOps tools and cloud-native practices.
• Apply security controls including authentication, authorization, encryption, and compliance practices for healthcare data.
• Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, debugging, testing, technical documentation, Agile ceremonies, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, product, business, and healthcare stakeholders to deliver scalable digital health platforms and operational improvements.
