About The Position

Building the right technology foundation for Infrastructure & platforms is vital to success at the scale of Walmart. The Global Tech Platform organization builds and maintains the foundational technologies that support the tech organization. Included in this are Developer Experience and Productivity, Gen-AI, data platforms, enterprise architecture, DevOps, cloud computing, and infrastructure. All these products and services are supported by scalable and powerful infrastructure, ensuring a secure and seamless employee and customer experience across stores, digital channels, and distribution centers. The Wibey Web team develops and maintains the browser-based interface for Wibey, Walmart’s intelligent orchestration platform for software development and operations. They enable users to search content across internal sources, leverage AI to enhance prompts, and access trusted answers with citations. They also provide SDKs that allow different teams within Walmart to contribute to and extend the platform. The team’s mission is to support everyone who builds or runs software at Walmart by providing a unified entry point to tools, documentation, and agent-powered actions throughout the entire SDLC (plan, build, ship, run). As a Principal, Software Engineer for Walmart’s new developer-focused super-agent, Wibey, you will work with other technical leaders on the team to architect and build the Wibey Web experience for Walmart developers. You'll be building the foundation for how thousands of developers leverage AI across Walmart's technology ecosystem, architecting solutions for the Web surface of Wibey. From defining standards and building tools (an SDK) for integrations with other apps and agents to exploring and identify new use-cases and user-flows, your work will directly impact developer productivity, code quality, and innovation velocity at enterprise scale.
