About The Position

Join a team building the analytical and optimization software that powers one of North America's largest renewable energy operations. You'll be architecting platforms that process tens of billions of data points daily, directly influencing how energy assets are planned, forecasted, and optimized. You'll work directly with business stakeholders, own features end-to-end, and make real architecture decisions.

Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work legally in the US without sponsorship, now or in the future.
  • 9+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated architecture ownership across multiple languages and paradigms.
  • Hands-on GCP experience, particularly around data-intensive workloads using BigQuery, Dataflow, or Dataproc.
  • Comfort working across the full stack, including backend services, data pipelines, and user interfaces.
  • Track record of using AI-assisted development tools (Copilot, Cursor, or similar agentic tools) critically and effectively.
  • Ability to engage directly with non-technical stakeholders and translate ambiguous business problems into engineering solutions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in energy, utilities, or similarly data-heavy regulated industries (helpful but not required).

  • Translate complex, ambiguous energy industry problems into scalable technical solutions
  • Design and own end-to-end systems spanning backend services, data pipelines, and user interfaces
  • Build rapid prototypes to validate concepts directly with business stakeholders
  • Lead architecture decisions and mentor engineers across the team
  • Integrate and govern agentic AI tools into engineering workflows, including designing quality controls, specification-driven development, and deterministic validation checks
