About The Position

Asset Management Technology is seeking a highly motivated Principal Fullstack Software Engineer for the Fidelity Digital Asset Management technology team in the US. This role involves building a new product and requires a hands-on developer who will collaborate with architects and business partners. You will be responsible for developing a Java Spring/Spring Boot microservice backend and an Angular UI, deployed in EKS clusters on AWS.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of software application development experience
  • BS/MS or equivalent experience in the areas of Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology
  • Extensive Middle Tier Application Development using Java Spring/Springboot, Streaming and Messaging technologies (Kafka), authentication framework and SQL (Oracle preferred)
  • Front End Application Development using Angular
  • Exposure to cloud technologies such as AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes is required
  • Demonstrated experience working on Finance-related software projects focusing on asset management
  • Strong in communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills with which you influence decisions and engagement across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to proactively share your knowledge, expertise, perspectives and nurture a learning culture across your team and the broader organization

Nice To Haves

  • Financial/asset management industry experience is a plus
  • Exposure to Blockchain technologies like Web3, smart contract development (Solidity, Rust), cryptography will be an advantage

Responsibilities

  • Provide technology solutions by developing software applications along with demonstrating a solid understanding of the business functions for which the application is designed
  • Display a full understanding of the software development process including analysis, design, development, system and integration testing, problem resolution and planning
  • Support and perform all phases of testing leading to implementation
  • Drive the culture of innovation, research and technical excellence to remain at the forefront of technology and thought leadership
  • Develop a Java Spring/Spring Boot microservice backend and an Angular UI, deployed in EKS clusters on AWS
  • Collaborate with architects and business partners
  • Apply standard processes across the teams in areas such as Unit testing, Automation (Karate), ATDD, DevOps, CI/CD, design, and code reviews
  • Work with engineering and product managers, architects, team of blockchain engineers and Fullstack engineers
  • Promotes and demonstrates a learning mindset by staying abreast of emerging trends in technology
  • Work closely with globally distributed product, engineering and business teams across regions which may include working across time zones and travel for business workshops, planning sessions and meetings
