Principal Software Engineer
About The Position
UiPath is seeking a Principal Software Engineer who operates as a builder, shaping product direction and executing on it. The role involves validating product ideas with customers, learning from their feedback, and pursuing proven adoption. The engineer is expected to work hands-on with AI and help scale their influence across a global team focused on business orchestration and modernizing core business processes. The role combines technical leadership, product thinking, and execution. The engineer will propose, architect, and deliver large-scale cloud services; guide stakeholders through complex technical trade-offs; champion engineering quality, scalability, and developer productivity; and build AI-native agentic systems that address enterprise bottlenecks. Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience architecting and building large-scale commercial applications, with a focus on external product impact.
- Expertise in distributed systems, data layers (OLTP/OLAP), and high-scale systems.
- Mastery of programming language paradigms and schema design.
- Experience creating robust, public-facing APIs that support ecosystem growth.
- Ability to balance technical considerations with business impact and customer outcomes.
- Ability to lead through influence and inspire a globally distributed team.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States for this role.
Nice To Haves
- Deep technical background in workflow engines, orchestration, and structured or unstructured data/document processing.
- Depth in building user experiences.
