About The Position

Wyetech is seeking a Principal Software Engineer (Software Engineer Level 4 – SWE4) to support the Advanced Analytics Team and its mission. The engineer will work with mission stakeholders to analyze requirements, design technical solutions, and develop high-performance software capabilities. The role focuses on advanced software engineering, algorithm development, binary analysis, and low-level systems programming for complex mission objectives. The engineer will analyze, design, verify, validate, implement, apply, and maintain software systems; apply relevant computer science principles to complex systems; generalize techniques across domains; and develop documentation and training. The position also includes presenting technical briefings and demonstrations to stakeholders. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and hold an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph. Candidates must meet one of the specified education and experience combinations: a bachelor's degree and 11 years of relevant experience; a master's degree and 9 years; a doctoral degree and 7 years; or, for candidates with in-depth directly related experience, an associate's degree and 13 years. Degrees must be in Computer Science or a qualifying related discipline. Relevant experience must include software development and programming across requirements analysis, software design, implementation, testing, integration, deployment or installation, and maintenance. The position offers an hourly pay range of $92.54–$125.31. Compensation varies based on factors including contract rates, education, experience, skills, certifications, and location. Requirements

Strong proficiency in Python and ability to read and understand C/C++ and x86 Assembly.
Experience designing, developing, testing, debugging, and maintaining complex software applications using object-oriented programming principles.
Strong understanding of software architecture, operating system design, compilers, and debugging techniques.
Experience analyzing legacy code and translating conceptual designs into scalable software architectures.
Proficiency in algorithm development, data structures, dynamic programming, heuristics, and modeling techniques.
Experience with operating system internals, low-level software development, file I/O, system APIs, and memory management.
Experience analyzing executable programs and developing tools for binary analysis, shellcode detection, malware analysis, function identification, and reverse engineering.
Ability to troubleshoot complex software issues and collaborate with mission stakeholders on high-performance technical solutions.
Meet one education and experience combination: bachelor's degree in Computer Science or qualifying related discipline plus 11 years of relevant experience; master's degree plus 9 years; doctoral degree plus 7 years; or associate's degree plus 13 years, which may be considered for individuals with in-depth, directly related experience.
Degree must be in Computer Science or a qualifying related discipline. Related degrees may be considered if coursework includes foundational Computer Science subjects, and IT or Information Systems degrees may be considered if coursework is equivalent in amount and type to a Computer Science major.
Relevant experience must include software development and programming, including requirements analysis, software design, implementation, testing, integration, deployment or installation, and maintenance.
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required.
United States citizenship required.

Responsibilities
